Movement Centers

The unique movement of one’s Soultype
is present from birth.

By 2002, after years of closely watching people as they were being Soultyped, and moving and dancing in workshops, it crystallized for Siska that people always initiate their movement from their Soultype’s energy center. Because of this, Siska and Alan gave these energy centers an additional name: Movement Centers.

Their new discovery added another dimension to their personal experience whenever they watched athletes, singers, musicians, dancers, public speakers, and others, in movement.

In addition, Siska and Alan concluded that the joy and creativity a person feels during a peak performance happens because the individual found a way to connect to their soul’s strength. They became even more eager to teach people about New Equations and the Soultypes so they could give people the opportunity to more easily live life in an increasingly creative state of being.

To help people see and experience the physical expressions of the soul, Siska produced nine New Equations Movement Videos. They each show public figures moving from their energy centers. She also produced nine New Equations Soultyping Videos that show the Soultyping process. She and Alan began presenting these videos at their workshops.

In October 2002 they presented their work at the International Coaching Conference in Barcelona, Spain.

Phi, pi, and the square roots of two, three, and five, are all that are required to form all geometric [Platonic] solids, and to define and describe all possible harmonic combinations. It is this web of interaction, this vast complex of harmonies, that we respond to as ‘the world’—in this case the physical world—which is but one (the tangible, perceivable) aspect of the spiritual world, or world of consciousness. The key to this harmonic world is number, and the means by which number is to be understood is geometry.

John Anthony West, Serpent in the Sky p.64

Alan looked more deeply at the works of Plato and Pythagoras. He was particularly focused in this direction because it is believed that Pythagoras was educated by Egyptian priests who passed knowledge on to him from ancient Egypt; and, in turn, Plato taught his students about the work of Pythagoras. Alan saw this exploration as a way to learn more from ancient Egypt.

Plato taught that nature itself has an infrastructure that is made up of five Platonic Solids, which are the only perfectly symmetrical solid shapes known of in our physical reality. They are regular polyhedrons, meaning each face is identical and is an equilateral planar form (either a triangle, square or pentagon).

The Platonic Solids contain Sacred Geometry (phi), mathematic formulas, Elements, Quintessence, and universal shapes, and they connect to all of existence in different ways.

Chart showing the relationships between platonic solids, elements, and Soultypes

Alan saw that the energy of relationship and connection can be applied to the Soultypes at the most fundamental level (chart). He correlated the Elements, Quintessence, and Platonic Solids with the Soultypes. Alan saw that not only was each Soultype related to a Platonic Solid, but each Soultype brings a particular kind of relationship to human interaction.

Alan’s insight that the dodecahedron connects to transformation when Soultypes 5,6,7,8 and 9, are aligned, brought forward a new understanding of the interdependence and importance of each of the Soultypes. It became clear in a more concrete way that mathematics, number, science, spirituality, and life in the universe—as the ancient Egyptians communicated through their pyramids and the Luxor Temple—are inextricably aligned and function as one in the creative universe.

In September of 2003, Alan built a set of large sturdy paper models of the Platonic Solids to use in workshops and presentations.

Tao Te Ching

In January of 2004, Alan began to read an English translation of the Tao Te Ching, an ancient Chinese text that was written at least 2,000 years ago. It is attributed to Lao Tsu, which means Old Master, so the author’s true name is not known. Reading the Tao Te Ching was part of Siska and Alan’s continued exploration into the ways spirituality in the world around them might exhibit Soultype wisdom.

When Alan read the first chapter, he was surprised because it reminded him of what he and Siska had found out about the spirituality of Soultype 1. When he read Chapter 2, it reminded him of the spirituality of Soultype 2. Alan became intrigued, and flipping through the pages, he saw that the Tao Te Ching has 81 chapters. He knew that since 81 is 9 squared, he wondered if the Tao Te Ching might contain nine chapters for each Soultype. He pointed this out to Siska, and after they read all 81 chapters they were certain that the Tao Te Ching was about the wisdom of the Soultypes, and had been written to help human beings spiritually develop.

Siska and Alan immediately took on the project of translating the Tao Te Ching from Chinese so they could pull out the most information possible about each Soultype. They were excited about both the possibility of learning more about the Soultypes than they already knew, and bringing to humanity everything about the Soultypes that the Tao Te Ching has to offer.

In early 2004, Siska and Alan published their first translation of the Tao Te Ching, naming it The Way of the Action of the Soul.

In 2005 they published The Light With No Shadow, an update of their book Embodying the Soul. The Light With No Shadow included within it a copy of The Way of the Action of the Soul.

& Nine Frequencies

In July of 2007, while Siska and Alan were leading a New Equations program in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA, a participant told them that he knew of someone who had identified a group of nine frequencies and was using one of them to play music. The participant had heard some music played in this frequency and said that it had affected his body in a way that felt good. As soon as Siska heard that there were nine frequencies she wanted to explore further.

Wesley Bateman

Wesley Bateman

When Siska returned home, she did an internet search that led her to research conducted by Wesley H. Bateman, a scientist and mathematician. In 1975, Bateman had begun a lifelong study researching the mathematic formulas of the universe and the Great Pyramid in Cairo, Egypt. He was also known for his connection to beings throughout the universe and was a consultant and resource for screenwriter and producer Gene Roddenberry, who had incorporated Bateman’s knowledge into the Star Trek television and movie series.

The brilliance of Bateman’s scientific research gave Siska and Alan a foundation for new discoveries about the nine Soultypes. The three of them formed a special bond because of a mutual desire to help people move forward. Bateman supported and encouraged Siska and Alan to use his work and discoveries in any way that would benefit humanity. Their friendship lasted until Bateman passed away in 2009, and he entrusted them with his research documentation.

The mathematics and formulas Bateman discovered from studying the Great Pyramid’s measurements and its relationship to phi, pi, and the universe, were remarkable. He not only discovered mathematics used by the ancient Egyptians to build the Great Pyramid, but he also made calculations that show that the structure of the Great Pyramid itself is tuned to nine particular frequencies, and that these frequencies resonate with the physics of nature and the spirituality of the universe.

Siska and Alan began to work with these frequencies to see if they might in some way correlate with the nine Soultypes. Alan found two minor mathematical transcription errors and needed to correct two of Bateman’s frequencies. Then, Siska and Alan contacted two musicians to see if they would be interested in experimenting with the frequencies to see what the result would be. They were happy to help and soon everyone came together at a recording studio where the musicians played music on keyboards using each of the nine frequencies one at a time.

Chart showing the Frequencies for each Soultype

As the music filled the room, Siska and Alan felt peace and a strong resonance within their bodies. Most importantly, the frequencies seemed to create a vibration within their own nine energy centers. This new and extraordinary experience led them to do a lot of additional research, including double-blind studies, and they were able to confirm a correlation between the nine frequencies and the nine energy centers.

Not only is the pyramid tuned to contain and resonate at nine particular frequencies, but Siska and Alan discovered that the human body is, as well. This information expanded the foundation for their continued development of New Equations.

In their follow-up meetings, Bateman expressed gratitude to Siska and Alan for helping him explore the usefulness of, and possibilities for, the nine frequencies. He had been both concerned and excited about the potential applications for his own discoveries. He was pleased by Siska and Alan’s preliminary research results. It meant a lot to him that his important discovery supported the nine Soultypes and the human body’s energy centers.

Siska and Alan began converting the music they were playing in their workshops and programs from A = 440 Hz, which is the tuning for most contemporary music, into the frequencies for the Soultypes of the music’s singers, composers, and musicians.

They began to call the frequencies Body Resonant Frequencies, and later re-named them New Equations Frequencies.

They had no idea how profoundly these frequencies would influence the future of New Equations.

Phi Growth

By 2007, Siska and Alan had Soultyped thousands of people around the world. They now knew from their experiences that spirituality is expressed through a person’s body, and people can expand from the soul. The development they observed in others, and experienced in themselves, was non-forceful, non-linear, did not follow a timeline or structure, happened in a different way for every person, and was purely filled with calm creative energy.

Alan began researching a particular kind of development called phi growth that occurs in nature and follows the mathematical principles of phi, pi, and the Fibonacci Sequence. What Siska and Alan saw in their students had strong similarities to what he and Siska had read about this kind of growth, so they soon concluded that they, and their students, were experiencing phi growth.

Siska and Alan began to teach their students about this life-giving and life-changing process, and the ways in which it aligns to the nine Soultypes.

Egypt

In 2008, Siska and Alan contacted John Anthony West again, and they planned a tour of ancient sites in Egypt. They invited students to join them, and together they spent the month of January, 2009, visiting places such as the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, Luxor Temple, Saqqara, and sailed the Nile River. West enthusiastically shared from his vast store of knowledge.

Siska and Alan were excited about finally experiencing the Luxor Temple—the place where the Schwaller de Lubicz’ had spent so many years doing researchbecause The Temple of Man had been such an important resource. It was equally important that they visit the Great Pyramid and experience its resonance and Bateman’s discoveries.

Exploring and doing research in Egypt uncovered for Siska and Alan new wisdom and knowledge about the nine Soultypes. They already knew that every human being is born with one of the energy centers active—the energy center for one’s own Soultype—and that the other eight are dormant. During their research in Egypt, they found a way to begin training their students to receive wisdom from all nine energy centers. This brought more spiritual balance and strength to the students.

In January of 2015, Siska and Alan traveled back to Egypt to continue their research.

Spiritual Portals

As their work developed, Siska and Alan realized that the term ‘energy center’ did not adequately communicate the potential for the profound expansion that can happen when one is in connection with the energy of these centers, so they decided it would be more accurate to call them Spiritual Portals.

{

Every person is born with one of the nine Spiritual Portals active, while the other eight are dormant.
The number for your active Spiritual Portal is your Soultype.

New Equations Music

New Equations changed my life and expanded my relationship to music in a way I could never have predicted. Meeting the cofounders of New Equations, Siska Tovey and Alan Sheets, and learning about the nine Soultypes, taught me how to receive what enhances us as human beings and supports everyone.

— Siv Roland
New Equations Soultype Instructor

New Equations took another unexpected turn in May of 2009 when Siv Roland, a new student, contacted Siska and Alan and asked if they would be interested in hearing her play some music for them that she had composed using one of the New Equations Frequencies. Roland, a conductor, pianist, and choir director, had trained at the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Barratt Due Institute of Music, and conducted numerous concerts, as well as many for television and radio.

It was surprising to Siska and Alan that she wanted to do this, since she lived in Norway and planned to travel all the way to California in order to play for them.

Their meeting marked the beginning of a lasting partnership. From it arose a way to compose music aligned with the universe: Roland plays the solo instruments, choirs and orchestras on keyboards, while she herself vibrates with the music of the universe; Siska aligns the music to the earth and the universe while creating the openness for it to happen; and Alan receives the music and holds it as a foundation for human beings.

The three immediately began to frequently come together to compose and record music, which meant much long distance travel. They produced their first CDs for sale in 2010. In 2012, they composed their first full symphonies. By early 2017, they had composed over 100 symphonies for the earth and universe, and had traveled to Japan, Egypt, Norway, and Hawaii, as well as to cities across the continental United States.

Through musical harmony, and therefore only through our sensation of music, and not by reasoning, can we know absolute phi.

— René Adolphe and Isha Schwaller de Lubicz

All of the New Equations discoveries made by Siska and Alan, which incorporate mathematics, science, and spirituality of the universe, are contained in New Equations Music because of its frequencies, tuning and alignment with phi. New Equations Music always has a purpose, and each symphony is an evolution that gives people an opportunity to grow and develop.

  • New Equations Music symphonies are composed and played in the moment, recorded in one take, and are never rehearsed.
  • New Equations Music symphonies are played live only once, at the time that they are composed.
  • New Equations Frequencies are used when music is composed.
  • A supportive and creative connection between your soul and the universe is there for you whenever you listen to New Equations Music.

Pythagorean tuning is also used when music is composed. Pythagorean tuning uses ratios from the overtone series based on the ratio 3:2, also called perfect fifths, and is aligned to phi. When experiencing tuning based on overtones, the body begins to resonate in a natural way.

The harmonic ratios of overtones are found throughout nature and reflect the vibratory structure of life. Overtones naturally occur when a tone is sung or played on an instrument: the motion of the string or the vocal cords creates oscillations of different frequencies, and together they form a tone. From these tones the overtone series is created.

Pythagorean tuning originated from the Mesopotamian Temperament, which can be traced back to ancient Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt. Pythagoras studied with keepers of ancient Egyptian spiritual knowledge and many believe they gave him the information about the tuning. He was credited for introducing this tuning to the Greeks in the 6th century, BC.

For those in the audience, being in the magic when the music is composed and played is new, spiritual, and unlike anything experienced before. The music composing happens in the present moment and the audience becomes part of the music. The music gently enlivens the Spiritual Portals for everyone.

Using frequencies and tuning that are in harmony with the physical body helps people align with who they are and become more able to give and support the earth, humanity, and the universe, in a purely gentle way.

Through sound we align you to keys of the universe; our music introduces you to the frequencies and vibrations that are the physical and spiritual building blocks for growth and evolution.

Nine Forces of Nature

The Forces of Nature, also called Neters, are nine spiritual energies that exist throughout the universe. Through light, sound, and color, they support life and evolution. They are numbered 1 through 9, and in ancient Egypt were represented by a hieroglyph of nine flags to show the broad influence they have (as the invisible wind moves a flag). The ancient Egyptians used the word Pesdjet for these energies, which means Nine.

The information presented in The Temple of Man about the functions of the nine Forces of Nature, and the role they played in ancient Egypt, became increasingly of interest to Siska and Alan. They found information in The Temple of Man pointing to ways in which the functions of the Forces of Nature align with the soul wisdom of the Soultypes. A one-to-one correlation between the Soultypes and the Forces of Nature easily fell into place.

Each Force of Nature holds different qualities of human existence. They support spiritual and physical alignment through the soul, and are connected to the Source of Creation through their very existence.

— Siska Tovey and Alan Sheets

This relationship with the Forces of Nature helped to explain the source of the non-forceful energy and strength Siska and Alan experienced in every person when they were being Soultyped. It also made clear the reason for the distinct differences between the Soultypes.

Their new understanding about the relationship with the Forces of Nature aligned all of their discoveries, and created a profound foundation that helps human beings move forward and develop together with the universe.

New Equations Advanced Training Organization

Many of Siska and Alan’s students had asked for a way to learn even more about their discoveries, and in April of 2000, Siska and Alan founded a training program. Everyone who joined their training was eager about learning how to Soultype, as well. The fun and enjoyment during the first gatherings was inspiring and wonderful.

It soon became apparent to Siska and Alan that learning to Soultype was not easy for their students. They could see that it would require a new and different kind of spiritual training. Siska and Alan pulled together knowledge and wisdom from all of their discoveries, and uncovered a teaching process that helped their students receive more knowledge and spiritually expand from the soul.

In 2005, they established the New Equations Professional Training Program, and by 2009, it had grown into the New Equations Advanced Training Organization (NEATO). Over time, the path for spiritual training developed, and Siska and Alan were excited when in 2015, Siv Roland learned to Soultype and became their first New Equations Soultype Instructor.

New Equations Organization

After years of research and discovery, in the autumn of 2015, Siska and Alan finished expanding the programs and re-designing the New Equations organization. In addition to New Equations Certified Teacher Training, New Equations Soultype Instructor Training, New Equations Creative Soul Training, and New Equations Spiritual Research Training, Siska and Alan created other programs, and expanded the opportunities for people to learn about New Equations and the physical expressions of the soul.

You have come to the end of our New Equations History outline, and we would like you to know that New Equations has been, and always is, growing in unexpected and exciting ways.
